Back in July, MG Motor India had stopped accepting bookings for the Hector as it had received over 28,000 bookings since launch. Moreover, the average waiting period for the Hector is around six-months. As part of the customer satisfaction initiative, MG Motor has announced the Worth Waiting For programme, where the Hector customers will gain 1,000 points every week until the vehicle is delivered to them. These points can be redeemed to purchase MG’s range of accessories or it can be spent on the prepaid maintenance packages that were announced at the time of launch.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, "As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, our 'Worth Waiting For' programme has been further augmented with a unique rewards initiative. Apart from driving the cause of girl child education, the rewards initiative brings delight to our HECTOR customers as they take deliveries."
MG Motor plans to increase production for the Hector at its Halol manufacturing facility to 3,000 units per month by October this year. The top two variants, Smart and Sharp, have registered the highest demand, with over 50 per-cent reservations for the petrol variants. Bookings for the vehicle remain suspended until further announcement from the company.
