- Production for the Hector has been increased to 3,000 units per month

Launched in June this year, the MG Hector has now crossed a production milestone of 10,000 units. Production for the Hector began in May 2019 at the company’s plant located in Halol, Gujarat. The Hector is the first product from MG, soon to be followed by the ZS EV later this year.
Morris Garages received an overwhelming response for the Hector, registering 21,000 bookings within a month of its launch, following which bookings were temporarily closed. The company announced that it would increase its production capacity to 3,000 units per month in order to fulfill the demand.
Last month, MG Motor India re-opened bookings for the Hector and announced that all new bookings for the model would reflect a price hike of approximately 2.5%, depending on the choice of variant. We have the updated price list, details of which are available here.
