The MG Hector is yet to be launched and all details are now available through its brochure. Even the fuel efficiency figures for all the trims have been revealed along with the engine specifications.
The ARAI fuel efficiency figure is 14.16kmpl for the petrol manual that is powered by a 1.5-litre engine producing 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. This powerplant gets an optional automatic trim (rated at 13.96kmpl) mated to a dual-clutch transmission. MG will also offer a petrol-hybrid variant of the Hector that gets a fuel economy figure of 15.81kmpl. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre diesel producing 168bhp and 350Nm of torque delivers 17.41kmpl. A six-speed manual transmission is offered as standard on both petrol and diesel variants.
We had earlier revealed the four variants of the MG Hector which are style, super, smart and sharp. Even the five colour options are now confirmed that include candy white, glaze red, burgandy red, starry black and aurora silver. The SUV measures 4,655mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,760mm in height. It boasts of a wheelbase of 2,750mm, while the ground clearance is 192mm.
Exterior highlights include a split headlamp setup with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps and dual-tone alloy wheels. The cabin is also feature-packed sporting a 7.0-inch MID, cruise control, electrically adjustable front seats, panoramic sunroof, heated ORVMs, a 360-degree camera and powered tail-gate among other features. Still, the biggest highlight is the 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It gets internet connectivity through SIM-based services, voice-enabled controls and much more.
MG has recently started accepting bookings for this upcoming Hector SUV that is expected to be launched on 14 June. Prospective buyers can also place their orders on the MG Motor website for a booking amount of Rs 50,000.
