MG Motor will re-open bookings for the Hector on 1 October 2019. The Hector mid-size SUV was launched in India on 27 June. In less than a month after bookings began, the company received more than 10,000 bookings for the model.
Barely a month after the Hector was launched, MG Motor announced that they had temporarily closed bookings for the model. The brand received 21,000 bookings before bookings were closed. The company has planned to increase production to 3,000 units per month beginning next month.
The top two variants of the MG Hector, Sharp and Smart, have received the highest demand, accounting for more than 50 per-cent of bookings. Recently, MG launched a reward scheme for customers awaiting delivery of their Hector. According to the scheme, each customer who has booked a Hector would receive 1,000 points per week up to the date when the vehicle is delivered to them.
