The MG Gloster’s twin-turbocharged diesel engine has the highest power and torque figures amongst the competition, and an intelligent four-wheel drive system as well. The most interesting fact to see here is how the Gloster undercuts the competition while offering more - space, features, luxury, performance, and capability.
Some of the unique features on offer include powered driver seat with massage function, wireless phone charging system, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in Gaana song search functionality, level-1 autonomous technology, second row captain seats, and a built-in air-purifier. Let’s have a look at some of them in more detail:
3. ADAS - India’s first level-1 autonomous premium SUV
Like every MG product launched in India, the Gloster continues to be a technological torch-bearer in its segment. It will be the first vehicle at its price point to offer an Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) in the country, ushering in an era of safer and more intelligent cars to the market.
With ADAS, the Gloster gets a hands-free automatic parking assist system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision detection and avoidance system, and blind-spot detection. Know more about these features in detail here.
4. Intelligent four-wheel drive system
The Gloster is designed to go off-road even in its 2WD form with independent front suspension, three-link rear suspension, a ladder-on-frame chassis, great approach, breakover and departure angles coupled to a powerful engine, and a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission combo.
Add the electronically actuated, intelligent on-demand four-wheel drive system with seven drive modes, electronically locking rear differential, hill-hold and hill-descent control, and other off-road features to this great basic setup - and you have a sure-footed mountain goat-like SUV. And it can seat up to seven people! Learn more about the MG Gloster's off-road capabilities here.
5. Luxurious features
From its road-presence, design, space, and features - the MG Gloster shouts luxury. On the outside, the large three-slat chrome grille, all-LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, and twin chrome exhaust pipes lend the SUV a luxurious feel.
Inside, the extensive use of leather, captain seats in the second row, reclinable third row seats, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, heated, cooled, and massage function driver seat, 64-colour ambient lighting, and three-zone A/C with built in air-purifier add to the luxury factor.
The Gloster also offers the luxury of convenience. Features like the large 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice control function, tracking and control via smartphone app, and hands-free electric tailgate opening and closing are available.
6. My MG Shield advantage
The MG Hector, Hector Plus, and the ZS EV are already popular among owners because of their low cost of ownership. The Gloster takes this one step forward by offering the new ‘My MG Shield’ program. This customisable program offers more assurances in the long term, over the standard three-year/unlimited km warranty, with warranty extension, service plans, roadside assistance plans, and buyback plans. Rs 50,000 worth of MG Shield customisation is offered to every customer of the new MG Gloster.
