- Gets revised front fascia with redesigned alloy wheels
- To remain mechanically unchanged
MG Motor India is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of its flagship SUV, the Gloster. We have spotted the test mule of the same being tested on multiple occasions. However, the new pictures that have emerged reveal more details, which we will cover in this article.
As seen in the picture, the Gloster facelift will flaunt a much more butch and upright fascia. It gets a sleeker LED DRL which seamlessly blends into the wider grille with horizontal slats, vertically stacked split LED headlamps, and a scooped-out bonnet.
On the side, the Gloster facelift will benefit from a new set of alloy wheels with a similar silhouette as the current iteration. As for the rear profile, the biggest change will come in the form of revised taillights with connecting light bar, redesigned rear bumper, and slightly tweaked tailgate.
Coming to the features, being the most feature-packed model in its class currently, the Gloster facelift will continue to offer loads of features. It will come loaded with a large floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, all-digital instrument cluster, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless charger, 360-degree surround camera, panoramic sunroof, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Mechanically, the Gloster facelift will soldier in with the same powertrain as the current version. A 2.0-litre diesel mill in turbo and twin-turbo guise along with an eight-speed gearbox will continue to do the duties. Upon its arrival, the updated MG Gloster will try to eat up market share from the Toyota Fortuner’s sale while also competing with the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and the Hyundai Tucson.
