MG eZS SUV to be launched in India in December

MG Motor, at the launch of the eZS SUV, announced that it will bring the pure electric vehicle to the Indian market in December. It is a pure electric SUV and looks just like the ZS SUV but with the full electric powertrain.

Last year, MG had announced that it would be coming to India in 2019 with an SUV, now known as the Hector, as well as a pure electric SUV that has now officially been confirmed as the eZS. This electric SUV was unveiled at the 2019 Guangzhou motor show for the Chinese market. We have looked in detail at what the SUV has to offer and you can read about that here.

Commenting on the arrival of the electric SUV for India, Rajeev Chaba, president and managing director, MG Motor India said, “With a modern design and advanced technology, the MG eZS will herald a new chapter in environment-friendly solutions in India. While the petrol version of the MG ZS had already become a popular choice globally, we are confident that its zero-emissions electric equivalent will bring accessible electric motoring to the customers in India upon its launch by the end of this year.”

“We hope by the time we launch the vehicle; the government would have announced the much-needed subsidies and incentives for the EVs under the recently announced FAME II scheme so that the people are encouraged to buy environmentally friendly mobility solutions.  More details about the specifications and features of the eZS will be announced at a later stage,” added Chaba.
