Ahead of its launch in India later this year, the Hyundai Kona electric rivaling MG eZS was spotted testing in Gujarat. This will be MG’s second vehicle for India after the Hector and like the Kona, it will be manufactured at MG’s Halol plant.
The Hyundai Kona electric, rival to the MG eZS, has been launched in India today with a price tag of Rs 25.30 lakhs (ex-showroom, all India). After Hyundai, now MG seems to be preparing for the launch of its first fully electric vehicle. A test-mule of the eZS was recently spotted in Gujarat. Last month, MG announced that the eZS will be launched in the country in December this year.
Powering the MG eZS globally is a 110 kW electric motor that produces 150bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The 45.6 kWh battery pack is reported to have a range of approximately 350 kms. Feature wise, the India-spec eZS will come equipped with an eight inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and LED headlamps.
