- Likely to be launched around the festive season
- Will be the third electric offering from MG in India
JSW-MG Motor India continues testing the new Cloud EV ahead of its launch in the country which is expected to take place during the festive season this year. New spy shots shared on the web have revealed key details of the car.
As seen in the images, the third electric offering from the carmaker was spotted testing under heavy camouflage. Key visible elements on this car included LED DRLs on either side of the fascia, what could be an LED light bar up-front, chrome inserts for the main headlight cluster, and a charging flap on the left front fender.
Elsewhere, the India-spec Cloud electric vehicle could arrive with flush-fitting door handles, new dual-tone alloy wheels, front door-mounted ORVMs, new LED taillights, integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and a rear bumper-mounted number plate recess.
The Cloud EV gets two battery pack options in the global market, and it remains to be seen which one of these, or if both, make it to the India-spec car. The options include a 50.6kWh unit returning a claimed range of 460km and a 37.9kWh unit with a claimed range of 360km. This model, when launched around the festive season, will kickstart the brand’s plans to launch one new model every six months.
