Mercedes-Maybach, the opulent arm of the luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz, has teased a video featuring a new concept ahead of the 2018 Beijing Motor Show. China is one of the largest markets for Mercedes-Maybach and we think this might be the EQ concept equivalent of the S-Class.
The video features just the interior and hence there is no way to tell what shape the car might be in. But the white interior is gilded in rose-gold Maybach badges and quilted leather. There is abundance of space and while the layout is futuristic, it also looks kind of production ready. The new Maybach concept will most probably turn out to be a complete working prototype like the Maybach 6 Coupe concept.
The blue EQ glow and the electrified idea of the future almost confirms an all-electric powertrain. Expect it to accelerate to 100kmph in about three seconds and also have a 500km range. While there are also rumours that the much awaited Maybach SUV based on the Mercedes GLS might be around the corner, we do not think this is it, especially since the new-generation GLS is already testing and due for a debut in 2018.
