We had reported only a few days ago about the arrival of the V-Class in India. Now, Mercedes-Benz India has officially announced that the launch of the V-Class will take place on 24th January. The luxury MPV will be a CBU in the country and will kick start Mercedes’ offensive for next year.
The V-Class that will arrive in India will be offered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine mated to seven-speed automatic transmission. This engine is BS-VI compliant and it also powers the E-Class All-Terrain. The output is expected to be around 190bhp and 400Nm.
When it goes on sale in January, the V-Class will carve out a niche segment for itself with no direct competition. Prices are expected to be around Rs 75-85 lakhs (ex-showroom).
