German luxury car manufacturer is gearing up to strengthen its roots in the Indian market with a stream of new product launches in 2019. Mercedes-Benz V-Class is confirmed for early launch in 2019 and it will be offered in seven and eight seat option. The spacious luxury MPV will arrive in India via the CBU route.
Internationally, the V-Class is available in three lengths - compact (4,895mm), long (5,140mm) and extra-long (5,370mm). Due to its exclusive interior design, the V-Class EXCLUSIVE is only available as the long variant. Although Mercedes-Benz has not revealed engine option details for India, we believe the V-Class might be offered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine mated to an automatic transmission that generates 191bhp of power and 400Nm of torque.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz V-Class will initially be available on sale for personal car buyers and it is likely to emerge as a good option as a second car in a luxury household that already has an E-Class or the GLE. The luxury MPV will also be used by the fleet operators once the speed governs are installed.
