Mercedes-Benz India has taken a massive step to increase the after-sales experience. The company has introduced an ‘Advance Assurance Programme’ in collaboration with Daimler Financial Services India and Reliance General Insurance.
With this new extended warranty programme, the customer has the option of extending his/her car warranty up to six years. Until now, the German manufacturer offered extended warranty only up to four years. Under this new first-of-its-kind programme, following the completion of the standard three-year warranty, customers have the option to extend the same for the fourth or up to the sixth year of ownership. Pricing for the fourth year ranges from Rs 33,000 for the A-class to Rs 1,98,000 for the S-class.
These extended warranty programmes can be purchased any time before the completion of the 3rd year of ownership. The customers also have the option to exit this programme if he or she wishes to do so, within the standard warranty period. This service is transferable to other owners and is applicable for unlimited mileage.
This is a very good step by Mercedes-Benz India. Having an extended warranties for vehicles is always good for the vehicles and its owner as it helps in saving a lot of money in case of any major part replacements.
