Mercedes-Benz hangar at the Auto Expo 2016 will showcase the India-bound GLC and the S-Class Cabriolet. The pavilion will also display a few models from their international portfolio along with the 2015 Formula 1 car.
The GLC is expected to be launched soon after the Auto Expo and will be positioned between the GLA and GLE. The SUV is a replacement for the GLK in the global markets and will rival the Audi Q3 in India.
Mercedes has also confirmed the plans to launch the S-Class Cabriolet. This is the first time that one of the German luxury car brands will be offering a four-seater convertible version of their flagship sedan in India. The cabriolet will be the fifth model type under the S-Class range after the standard sedan, AMG, S-Guard, Maybach and the coupe.
A highly customised version of the Maybach S 600 Guard will also be stationed at the pavilion. The S Guard is an armoured luxury sedan, which offers VR9 safety (highest among the passenger vehicles). Also, on display will be the 2015 Formula 1 championship winning car along with few models from their international range.
