Mercedes-Benz India has collaborated with Sundaram Motors to open a new showroom in Chennai. The new facility is now the largest 3S facility for the carmaker in Tamil Nadu.
Sundaram Motors is situated in the auto hub of Chennai and is spread over an area of over 72,000 sq.ft. It was set up within five months and has now employed over 136 professionally trained staff. The showroom can display six cars at a time and the workshop boasts of 63 service bays for body and paint jobs. The automaker says that it is capable of servicing up to 15,000 cars annually. There's also Café Mercedes, a customer lounge and a one-stop place for all Mercedes-Benz accessories and collections.
Mercedes-Benz is the only luxury carmaker in India to have a distribution network spread over 95 outlets in 47 major cities across India. With many more dealerships in the country, the carmaker will be able to cater to more customers spread throughout different regions. This will mean a greater reach, an easy availability and in increase in customer delight.
