Mercedes-Benz India recently launched a 'Grand Edition' of its flagship SUV - the GLS. This special edition is priced at Rs 86.90 lakhs for both petrol and diesel variants. It's a known fact that the GLS SUV is often referred to as the 'S-Class of SUVs'. Now, with the introduction of this new trim with new features, let's take a look at how the carmaker has upped the luxury quotient on this.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS Grand Edition now features a new headlight cluster with LED Intelligent Light System with unique black rings.
These headlamps are unique as they go on automatically as per driving and weather conditions. The dipped beam is activated when the speed of the SUV crosses 90kmph for enhanced safety.
The vehicle gets chrome accents on the fins on the bonnet giving it a different look. There is a 'Grand Edition' badging too to differentiate it from the standard car.
Mercedes-Benz is offering 20-inch, 10-spoke light alloy wheels on this special edition. These are painted in Black for a royal look.
The elegant looking dashboard gets a heated three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel finished in Nappa leather for a premium feel.
Also, new on the dashboard is the infotainment system, which is larger and supports navigation, Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Rear passengers are in for a treat as a new rear seat entertainment system is offered as a standard feature on the new GLS Grand Edition.
There are two 7-inch high definition displays with mobile phone connectivity that allow you to make calls, listen to music, send and receive text messages and much more.
In terms of storage space, the GLS can accommodate all of your luggage needs with a capacity of 680 to 2,300 litres which is one of the best in its class.
