New Mercedes-Benz GLC long wheelbase to be introduced in China

What you are looking at here is the first image of the long wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz GLC. This extended version of the popular SUV will be sold only in China where demand for similarly natured vehicles is all-time high. 

The GLC is manufactured in China by the Beijing-Benz joint venture. As for the upcoming long wheelbase version, there will be a 2-litre engine in different state of tunes. Prices, meanwhile, will be slightly higher than that of the standard GLC. 

According to a few reports, the wheelbase for the LWB version will be extended by 10cm for more legroom at the back. Seat comfort and headroom will remain the same as before. Like the new Audi Q5 L, the long wheelbase GLC will be launched in China early next year. Although Mercedes India sells long wheelbase version of the E-Class, it is highly unlikely for the ‘GLC L’ to be introduced in the country.
