Mercedes-Benz will enter a new part of the car market three years from now when it launches the GLB SUV. Based on the next-generation B-Class this vehicle will slot in between the GLA and GLC SUV. It is currently testing the vehicle somewhere in Europe and here are the lastest spy shots.
The photos show a body shell close to the GLA but with a longer wheelbase and bigger wheels indicating that the actual vehicle that will sit on this frame is expected to be taller and wider. It will be underpinned by an updated version of the MFA platform which is likely to debut in 2018 or 2019.
It may possibly be offered as an alternate body style to the B-Class mini MPV. Expect it to be sold with a range of petrol and diesel engines as well as at least one electric drivetrain option.
