- Short clip highlights the much anticipated drift mode
- Might get a high-tech all-wheel drive set-up
The Mercedes-AMG A45 has been in the news for a while and you can read about it here. And now they have unveiled a teaser clip of the car going around a track in Ken Block style which is sideways. The point to note is that the car isn’t just oversteering but doing it in controlled fashion which means Mercedes is hinting at its drift mode function in the hot hatch. What is also seen is the A45 doing donuts which could mean the car getting a clever all-wheel drive system that delivers more torque to one wheel.Â
On the exterior front, the car is completely wrapped in snazzy graphics, but one can notice the AMG GT R inspired grille and the quad circular exhaust tips. There is also a spoiler at the back which could be offered as standard in the new car.
Power figures have come out and the A45 will be putting out over 400bhp which is staggering for hot hatch. Also on offer will be a dual clutch transmission and an all-new chassis to handle all that power and torque.
