Mercedes-AMG doesn't want to keep any stone unturned when it comes to their GT vehicle. The German carmaker globally offers four road-going trims of the two-door AMG GT coupe and two racing versions of it. There will soon be three variants of the four-door coupe and if that's not enough, here is the AMG GT Roadster convertible. Go on, drool at these pictures.
Let's come straight to the main highlight of the car, which is the soft roof. This is a three-layer fabric one which can be opted in black, beige or red.
Other features of the car include LED headlamps, Nappa leather upholstery and Comand Online. The car also gets an electrically extending rear spoiler.
Powering the GT S Roadster is the AMG brand’s 4.0-litre V8 biturbo petrol mill pumping out 522bhp and 670Nm of torque. The standard AMG GT produces 46bhp less than this.
The Roadster's engine comes mated to an AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed transmission. It is offered as standard on all AMG GT models.
Interestingly, this powertrain enables the sports car to sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 192mph (309kmph).
