- Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series likely to debut by early 2020
- The model is expected to produce more than 650bhp
New spy images taken at the Nurburgring in Germany reveal the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series that was spotted testing at the track. The model is expected to be unveiled by early 2020.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series seems to be based on the GT R Pro, judging by its design. A few highlights of the design include the aero vents positioned on the front wheel arches, massive rear wing, quad pipe exhausts, large brakes with the calipers finished in a shade of gold.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series is expected to breathe through a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that is likely to produce a power output north of 650bhp. The model could also receive updates in the form of a reworked suspension and weight reduction. Once launched, the model will rival against the likes of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Lamborghini Huracan Performante and the McLaren 600LT.
