The performance division of the German car manufacturer, Mercedes-AMG has revealed the updated international-spec GLC43 SUV and Coupe with a fresh set of feature and engine update. The updated model will be officially launched in the international market later this year.
Visually, the cars get AMG-specific grille with chrome vertical slat grille and LED high-performance headlamps. The matte black fins over the air intakes give it a sporty stance. The cars get 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels as standard and selection of three additional wheel variants in optional 20/21-inches in size. The rear is updated with a broader bumper and round twin tailpipes for a sporty look.Â
Under the hood, the cars get the retuned 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbo engine that generates 385bhp which is 23bhp more than the current model. The engine will come mated to 9G transmission along with the AMG performance 4matic all-wheel-drive system. The top speed is electronically restricted to 209kmph and the cars are capable of sprinting from 0-98kmph in just 4.7 seconds.Â
The SUV gets sport seats as standard to offer better lateral support to both the driver as well the front passenger. The black MB-Tex / Dinamica, has a distinctive design with red top-stitching. Aluminium trim elements with longitudinal grain highlight the car’s sporty character. Moreover, the updated models will also offer more space for the occupants as compared to its predecessor. A 10.25-inch touchscreen is mounted in the centre of the dash, while the driver gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Both the iterations of the GLC 43 have received the latest MBUX infotainment system.
