A camouflaged Mercedes-AMG C43 saloon was spotted testing in Germany, and it is expected to debut in the latter half of 2017.
Going by the amount of camouflage at the front and rear of the test mule, the facelift job will restrict the changes to new bumpers, a redesigned grille, and LED headlamps. Our earlier pictures show the test car with a digital instrument cluster that looks to be borrowed from the S-Class. However, there’s no confirmation as to whether this will be a part of the options list, or will it actually make it to the standard equipment.
Sources suggest that as the upcoming C-Class is to make a switch to inline six cylinder engines from the current V6 motors, it is expected that the new C43 could also use an inline six cylinder 3.0-litre turbocharged motor with mild hybrid capabilities. We can safely expect a slight bump in power from the current 365bhp too.
After the Mercedes-AMG C43 and C-Class saloon hits the market this year, it is rumoured that the brand also has a sporty wagon version for this body style lined up for later. Stay tuned.
