German luxury automaker Mercedes has lined-up three unique models at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo. These include the Maybach S650 ultra luxurious limo, the electric Concept EQ and the versatile E-Class All-Terrain.
Starting off with the Mercedes-Maybach S650, the super sedan is based on the recently launched 2018 S-Class and like the standard car, the former sports the same design updates. The front-end is completely new thanks to the revised grille, tri-split LED headlamps and bumpers. In profile, it is as long as its three-part name while at the rear, its re-profiled bumpers and tails lamps complete the update. Under the long Mercedes is offering a 6-litre V12 engine, in fact. Featuring a bi-turbo setup, this engine puts out 621bhp of power and 1,000Nm of torque. The S650 is priced at Rs 2.73 crore (ex-showroom) while the less powerful S560 is priced at Rs 1.94 crore.
Next on, we have the Concept EQ. With this snazzy looking creation Mercedes intends to show how electric cars can soon move into the fast lane. The concept, with the appearance of a sporty SUV, previews a new generation of electric vehicles from the German automaker. it features two electric motors, with a system output that can be increased to up to 300 kW (402bhp) thanks to scalable battery components, and permanent all-wheel drive.
Lastly, there’s the arrival of the E-Class All-Terrain which spawns a new breed of the E-Class in the form a station wagon. The All-Terrain is offered in the E350d 4MATIC avatar whose 3.0-litre motor makes 258bhp along with a healthy dose of 620Nm of torque.
