Mercedes Maybach S 600 will be launched in India tomorrow. The most exclusive sedan in the Mercedes line-up is a replacement for the Maybach brand, competing with ultraluxurious brands like Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
With a length of 5,451 the S 600 Maybach is longer than the Rolls-Royce Ghost and the Bentley Flying Spur. The car will have a host of features for the rear seats including a massager, dedicated entertainment system, fine leather upholstery, adjustable seats with thigh support, chilled rear armrest and champagne flutes.
The Maybach uses the 6.0-litre Bi-Turbo V12 tuned to produce 523bhp and 830Nm of torque, and while the engine will certainly create a racket, Mercedes claims this to be the “world’s quietest car”. The rear-wheel drive set up gets power from the new nine-speed 9G-Tronic transmission.
Mercedes India will import the Maybach S 600 via CBU route. The executive sedan is expected to be priced at around Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom Maharashtra), with an opportunity of further upgrades through Mercedes Centre of Excellence.
