Introduced in mid-2015 (in India), the Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe is still a fairly new product. Mercedes, however, is already working on a facelift for this high-power flagship coupe. From what we can see in these spy shots, the front-end seems to be heavily revised, which means an entirely new front and rear bumper could be in the making.
There will be no major changes to the drivetrain. Expect only slight changes to the engine for a little higher power output of around 600bhp, compared to 585bhp in the current model. Similar changes will also be made for the S65 AMG Coupe with up to about 650bhp as well as for both AMG convertible models.
What’s most likely though is the end of rear-wheel drive configuration for these models since AMG has already announced to go for all-wheel-drive on most of their future models.
Mercedes is expected to fully reveal the facelifted S AMG Coupe and Cabriolet models by the end of next year. Until then, read our first drive of the 2015 Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe.
