Despite being an electric SUV, it sports a massive black grille panel at the front replicating the Maybach waterfall grille. It features vertical chrome strips.
While the brand's three-pointed star is now on the bonnet, the front panel houses the radar panel. Like all Maybachs, the EQS also comes with the trademark dual-tone paint scheme.
Inside, there is Mercedes' latest MBUX Hyperscreen with Maybach-specific start-up animations. The dashboard boasts three huge screens including the instrument cluster, infotainment screen, and the one for the passenger.
Customers can also opt for a rear-entertainment package. It includes dual 11.6-inch displays mounted on the back of the front seats.
Moreover, the seats themselves are upholstered in Nappa leather and feature recline and massage functions. These can be further personalised according to one's taste.
The rear seat passengers also get a centre console with wooden trims and access to the trunk fridge. Customers can opt for champagne flute glasses as well.
Other features offered on the Maybach EQS include a Chauffeur package and a First-Class rear package with thermal cup holders.
Then, there's a shelf for the rear MBUX tablet, which is another screen apart from the various screens inside. The EQS also gets folding tables and plenty of other features and tech.
Powertrain
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS is being offered in a single '680' trim in India. It comes powered by a 122kWh battery paired with dual electric motors, churning out 658bhp and 950Nm of torque. Mercedes claims the Maybach EQS is capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in 4.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 210kmph. This large battery pack gives the Maybach EQS a maximum driving range of 611km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. Notably, it is also capable of charging from 10-80 per cent in 31 mins through a 200kW DC fast charger.
