Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Crazy Colour Edition of the G63 AMG SUV for a price tag of Rs. 2.17 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The G-Wagen was introduced in India in 2011 as the G55 AMG and updated in 2013 when the G63 AMG was launched in India. The stylish SUV will further extend the customizable super luxury product portfolio offered to the Indian buyers.
The luxury SUV is known for its performance globally and was once proclaimed to be the fastest SUV in the world. Powered by the bi-turbo 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine from Affalterbach that produces 544bhp power at 5500rpm and a whopping 760Nm of torque from 2000rpm. The G63 AMG makes a dash from zero to 100kmph in 5.4 seconds clocking a top speed of 210kmph. The 2.5-tonne truck is a potent tool off road with the state of art ‘4matic’ four-wheel-drive system.
The Crazy Colour edition will be available in three paint schemes - Solar beam, Sunset beam and Alien green – true to its name. The luxurious interiors are colour co-ordinated with contrast topstitches on the all-black interior. It also gets the 20-inch AMG alloy wheels standard. The G63 AMG will be the most expensive SUV offered by the German manufacturer after the M-Guard and will certainly be a head-turner.
