Mercedes-Benz introduced the monstrous G63 AMG 6X6 which only made it to 100 lucky owners. But, if you wanted one there is another chance to get something close to it, minus the two wheels. A prototype of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG has been spied testing in Southern Europe which was nicknamed “Green Monster” by the media.
It is rumoured that it would be using the same turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine producing power in excess of 540bhp and 760Nm of maximum torque. This engine will be mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission. While the top speed of the 6X6 was limited to 100 miles an hour (160kmph), expect the 4x4 to be faster.
The spy pictures reveal that the actual look of the vehicle is similar to the G63 AMG 6X6. The front bumpers, front roof extension, auxiliary LED lamps, jacked up suspension and wide track are similar to its six-wheeler cousin, but minus the truck bed.
It is like expecting an ice-cream shop in the Sahara Desert if we said Mercedes might launch it in India. But, we expect at least one example to make it to India.
