Mercedes-Benz India has strengthened its presence in the southern part of the country by inaugurating multiple centres in two days – Titanium Motors’ City showroom, dealership and a service centre in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and another dealership – Bridgeway Motors in Calicut, Kerala. The addition of the three outlets takes the Mercedes tally to five in Chennai while Calicut welcomed the first three-pointed-star with traditional Kathakali performances.
The Chennai dealerships were inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India on 26th August. The city showroom is housed in the iconic Gove Building in Anna Salai. The Bridgeway Motors dealership was also inaugurated by Mr. Eberhard Kern along with Boris Fitz, Vice-President, Sales and Network Development, Mercedes-Benz India.
Mercedes is pursuing its 15 in ’15 strategy with zest to consolidate its position as a leader of the luxury car market in India. As the product launch onslaught continues with the next one in line being the C63 S AMG, Mercedes is also trying to ensure market penetration and service availability to match their sales. With 11 new dealerships this year, Mercedes has expanded its base to 39 cities in India with a total of 78 outlets.
