Recently, Mercedes-Benz teased their upcoming ‘EQ A Concept’ hinting at an all-electric hatchback. This time, the EQ C concept car has been spotted in the flesh with no camouflage. The spied car (EQ C) is expected to be an all-electric crossover akin the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
The teasers that came with this confirmation have revealed the EQ C concept to sport a smooth surfaced body, black panel grille and a series of distinctive light graphics. The concept car is also equipped with distinctive tail lamp assembly – speculated to be a full LED unit. The EQ C could be based around Mercedes-Benz's new modular electric architecture (MEA) platform.
The EQ C is one of the 10 new all-electric models which are currently under development in a 10 billion (Rs 76,306 cr.) programme. All the 10 electric vehicles are expected to make debut in the international markets by 2025.
The first model in Mercedes’ EQ sub-brand, the EQ C, was showcased as a concept car at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. If you are not familiar with the ‘EQ’ term, that’s because it is Mercedes-Benz’s latest nomenclature for electrified vehicles.
We, at Carwale, are looking forward to the new electric crossover being showcased in the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show. Stay tuned for more updates.
