China is one of the largest markets for AMGs, and therefore Mercedes is making sure every one of their AMG models is thoroughly tested within the Chinese borders to avoid any slip-ups. The latest discovery is the new C63 AMG, which was seen on a flatbed with camoflauge on its bootlid and bumpers. There's a bit of CLA to that c-pillar, and the quad tailpipes will be integrated into the rear bumper.
The nip-and-tuck job notwithstanding, the C63 will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 that will make 460bhp and enough torque to make a truck blush. This is the same powerplant that will provide oomph to the AMG-GT that is yet to be launched. All that power (and torque) will still go to the rear wheels via a 7-speed Speedshift automatic. Prices in the Chinese market will be in the USD 160,000 range, or Rs 97 lakh when the C63 AMG goes on sale.
