Mercedes-Benz had showcased its stylish convertible, the C300 Cabriolet at the 2016 Geneva Motor show. The German luxury carmaker will be launching this new model in India later this year and it will be brought in via the CBU route. The convertible is one of 12 cars from Mercedes-Benz which will be launched in Indian market this year.
The Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 242bhp of power and 370Nm of torque. The powerful engine comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission as standard with dynamic select option. The fabric roof can be opened and closed at speed of up to 50kmph.
As for the design aspect, the Mercedes C300 Cabriolet borrows some cues from its C-Class Coupe sibling. Except for an addition of a roof mechanism control button, the interior remains fairly the same. The convertible will offer a safety pack which includes collision warning, attention assist system and autonomous emergency braking. Additionally, the car will also get add-on options like 360 degree camera, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control with steering assistance. Though the official pricing will be out at a later date, we anticipate that the Mercedes-Benz C300 might be priced between Rs 60 lakh – Rs 70 lakh.
