Mercedes has announced that a specially hand-built GLE 450 AMG will be featured in the upcoming movie - Jurrasic World. The company hasn’t revealed any more details apart from this. As the model wasn’t unveiled during the making of the movie, strong security measures were carried out to keep the vehicle from being spotted during the shooting even at the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Kaua’i.
According to Mercedes-Benz Head of Marketing Communications Dr. Jens Thiemer, “We are delighted to have been able to support this epic action-adventure with our vehicles." He added, "Our wide range of SUVs in particular fit perfectly with Jurassic World's various requirements, with the focus on our new trendsetter, the GLE Coupé.”
It is also announced that several of Mercedes vehicles will be used in this movie.
The plot of the movie starts 22 years after the events in the Jurrasic World and runs around a new amusement park that has started already. Genetic experiments on dinosaurs are carried out in this park. While it would be sad to see the cars tossed up and battered by a tyrannosaur or two, we hope the GLE 450 AMG can outrun one.
