5Mercedes-Benz will be launching their 2011 model of the G-Wagon in India today. The Gelandenwagen (G-Wagon) comes from the G-Class segment of the Mercedes stable, which holds a reputation for the most rugged vehicle segment of the lot. The G-Wagon will be priced at somewhere close to 1 crore and get a -speed automatic transmission.
The vehicle will get a 5.5-litre engine which will churn out 500 bhp. Mercedes-Benz is surely keen to grab the attention of all those off-roading enthusiasts. Infact, the attention has moved on to vehicles with off-roading capabilities with Mahindra launching the Thar recently, and now Mercedes-Benz with its G-Wagen. Car Manufacturers are making an attempt to reach out to each and every car enthusiast that is out there. The year never looked better!
