Mercedes-Benz has released several teaser photos and a video of the upcoming AMG C63 Coupe. This two-door performance-oriented version of the C-Class sedan packs over 470bhp and will be officially unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
The teaser photos show specific parts of a heavily camouflaged AMG C63 Coupe through different angles, while the video lets out no detail except for the sound track of the glorious twin-turbo V8 engine. As indicated by the name, the AMG C63 Coupe ditches the two rear doors to adopt a coupe body style. The overall design of the C63 AMG Coupe is similar to C-Class sedan, though it gets several aggressive styling cues which hint at its true potential. The massive air intakes complement the new aggressive front fascia, while the aerodynamic body kit decreases the drag coefficient.
The AMG C63 Coupe will house the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the AMG GT sportscar, which sends 454bhp and 600Nm of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG SpeedShift dual-clutch transmission. Deliveries of the car in the US market will commence in early 2016, with prices expected to start at USD 65,000 (Rs 41.23 lakh).
