A camouflaged Mercedes-Benz SLC has been spotted on test in Europe. Basically a facelifted version of what would have become the 2016 MY SLK coupe; this car sports a host of external changes and is also expected to get a significant amount of mechanical updates.
The exterior changes include a new bumper, revised avantgarde grille, new headlights as well as tail lamps. On the interior front, we believe that it will get the new C-Class’ layout along with whatever is the 2016 MY updates for the C-Class.
We believe that the engine lineup will continue from the current car including the diesel powered SLK250 CDI. However, the top spec SLK55 AMG is expected to become the SLC63 AMG which will make use a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that is expected to produce around 460bhp and be mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic.
It is expected to be launched by the middle of this year for the European and American market and will come to India by December via the CBU route.
