The January-September 2008 sales figures for Mercedes-Benz stand at 3001 vehicles, which reflects a growth of 56% over the same period in 2007.
By the end of the third quarter of 2008, a total of 524 S Classes were sold. This marks a growth of 64% over January-September 2007. The company sold more than 1450 units of the C Class in India in January-September 2008 which is 135% over sales in the corresponding period in 2007. The E Class shifted 921 cars between January-September 2008. Two new engine variants were also added to the E Class in this period, the E 220 CDI and the E 230 petrol.
