Mercedes Benz S65 AMG coupe could debut in July this year

Like the new 580bhp, 2014 S63 AMG coupe but think it could do with a bit more power? Mercedes-Benz might have an alternative for you in the form of the S65 AMG coupe – the 12-cylinder model of the recently unveiled S-Class coupe.

The S65 AMG coupe, which is an even more powerful version of the S63 coupe, will replace the existing CL65 AMG when it arrives in July this year. As is the case with the four-door S65 and the S63 AMG versions, the upcoming S65 coupe will differentiate itself from the less powerful S63 AMG with its massive 6-litre, twin-turbo V12 engine producing 620bhp of power.

Alongside the S65 AMG coupe in July, Mercedes is also expected to bring out a rear-wheel drive only version of the S63 AMG coupe; the latter currently puts its power down to the road using Merc’s 4-Matic all-wheel drive system.
