The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG sedan has been launched in India for Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom Bengaluru). This AMG sedan is their tenth product launch for the year and will be a CBU.
First things first, the S63 AMG sedan is powered by a monstrous 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 577bhp and 900Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via the AMG Speedshift seven-speed dual clutch transmission. In addition to this mass of extreme power and torque, the S63 AMG sedan also gets magic body control and three drive modes-controlled, sport and manual.
On the design front, the S63 gets an AMG spec body kit, 19-inch wheels and a quad exhaust setup to add to the muscle factor of the sedan. The cabin is the same as what is seen in the S63 AMG coupe and has now been trimmed out in black and silver. The S-Class badges have been replaced by AMG badges all around the cabin.
Mercedes-Benz has been on a roll, launching a slew of products as well as opening dealerships this year. Their strategy has reaped good results as they have sold 41 per cent more cars when compared to the corresponding period last year.
