A cabriolet version of the S63 AMG has been spotted on test. Believed to be spotted on test in Germany, this convertible version of the German automaker’s high performance coupe looks almost similar to its coupe sibling but now gets a soft top and accordingly a modified rear-end.
Despite the retractable soft top, Mercedes-Benz has managed to retain the silhouette from the coupe which in turn has allowed the car to retain its strong and muscular stance. Visible elements on this convertible include the AMG spec wheels, front splitter and quad exhaust pipes.
The engine sitting in the convertible is a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 577bhp/900Nm and has a 0-100kmph time of 3.9 seconds in the coupe. We in India are getting the S63 coupe next month so it is possible that the cabriolet will be offered sometime next year.
