Mercedes-Benz will launch the S 63 sedan in India tomorrow. The performance version of the flagship sedan will join the recently launched AMG coupe as part of the CBU lineup.
While the basic design of the AMG is similar to that of the standard sedan, the cosmetic changes make the sedan look brutish. The front bumper is aggressive and gets a large air intake, the rear bumper is also changed and gets a built-in diffuser and awesome looking quad exhausts. The S 63 rides on 20-inch alloy-wheels and the customisation pack should include options from Designo.
The S 63 AMG is powered by the 5.5-litre turbocharged V8 engine producing 577bhp and mammoth 900Nm of torque. The car uses the AMG Speedshift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to power the rear wheels and will also get airmatic suspension to adjust the ride for comfort and performance. Mercedes has also upgraded the brakes on the car that stand out with the AMG badging on the calipers to compliment rest of the detailing.
The S 63 AMG will be the ninth car in the Mercedes India AMG lineup and will be priced around Rs 2.5 crore.
