The current generation Mercedes-Benz ML-Class has been on sale globally since mid-2011. Boasting of significant improvement in key areas including design, luxury and efficiency; the model, now in its third generation, continues to post impressive sales numbers for Mercedes-Benz in the luxury SUV segment.
Mercedes is now working on a minor facelift for the ML-Class. A prototype of the facelifted version has been spied on test in Death Valley. As seen in the spy pictures, only the SUV’s front-end is clad in camouflage, suggesting that Mercedes will thoroughly restyle the front bumper, the radiator grille and the air intakes.
The SUV also sports S-Class like detailing for the headlight units. Inside, not much is expected as far as design changes are concerned. Mercedes, however, will include an updated infotainment system. Mechanically, we expect the company to update each of the ML’s existing power-train options.
The ML facelift could be showcased at the 2014 Paris motor Show later this year. When launched, the updated model will be seen competing with the new 2015 BMW X5 launched recently here in the Indian market.
