Mercedes-Benz introduced the Maybach brand in the country with the advent of the super luxurious saloon Maybach S600. Brought to India via the CBU route, the car is priced at Rs 2.6 crore. Have a look at the pictures of the new S600 - the most prestigious and exclusive offering from the German carmaker.
The car's fascia, though, looks similar to the standard S-Class, boasts of a restyled radiator grille. The LED headlamps and daytime running lights together create a clear beam.
The vehicle gets an extended wheelbase, which is more than that of the S-Class in our country. There is a Maybach emblem on the C-pillar of the car and a Maybach badge on the boot lid, signifying exclusivity.
The longer wheelbase has resulted in additional inner space. The first class cabin makes do with two individual seats that can recline to 43.5 degrees.
These massaging seats are air-conditioned, heated and come covered with Nappa leather upholstery. The armrests can be warmed and there is a system to pump scented and ionised air around the cabin.
The interior of the S600 features numerous comfort and entertainment features. The standard fitment of handcrafted wood trim featuring an IWC design analogue clock adds to the exclusivity.
There is a 1540 watt Burmester 3D surround sound system. High-end streaming music will be brought to your ears through this infotainment system connected to 24 speakers.
Under the hood of the S600 sedan lies the 6.0-litre V12 Bi-turbo mill that has the capacity of generating 530bhp of power and 830Nm of torque.
The mill comes mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission that propels the huge car from 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds and achieve an electronically limited top speed of 255kmph.
