Mercedes-Benz recently launched the W166 variant of the M-Class in Malaysia. A revamped version of the M-class was spotted testing in a camouflaged avatar indicating that the automaker was preparing itself to launch a facelifted version of the sports utility vehicle.
The revamped prototype of the M-Class has been completely camouflaged. Even the Mercedes logo has been masked at the front and the rear. However, from the spy-shots taken by photographers at Paultan, we can assume a few things about the upcoming car. The car's front will get a different grille and bumper. Since the headlamps are masked, we can assume there might be some changes to that as well.
It is the picture of the interiors which clearly shows the Mercedes-Benz logo on the steering wheel and the COMAND display might be shifted to the new tablet that the company plans to offer. Presently the outgoing car has this display integrated into the dashboard. All the new cars from the automaker are expected to have the COMAND controller with a new touchpad feature to add to the changes.
There are no details about the engine specifications or launch dates about the new car. Only the ML 350 4MATIC version of the M-Class is currently on sale in the Malaysian car market. With the launch of the new model in Malaysia we can also expect Mercedes-Benz to launch the new model in a competitive market like India.
