Mercedes-Benz is planning to refresh their M-Class SUV. This would be a mid-cycle refreshed model and the car might be ready by next year.
The fascia of the revamped M-Class SUV will boast of a large grille and the headlamps will be similar to the ones on the new S-Class and C-Class models. The dual exhausts will be surrounded by a longer and lower bumper. The tail lamps will also be redesigned.
Inside, the cabin will be equipped with new and more premium materials. The interiors will feature a new and bigger infotainment screen which will get the latest COMAND infotainment system. The facelifted M-Class might also get the touch-sensitive controllers like the latest cars from Mercedes-Benz.
According to reports, the revised M-Class might be powered by the 3.0-litre direct-injection V6 petrol engine from the SL400. This mill in the luxury sports car churns out 328bhp of power. It is said that with this change, the automaker might bring out a new version calling it ML400 and will replace the ML350. The company will make changes to the power-train to improve the economy and emission levels as well
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class facelift is in its final testing phase and might be unveiled in 2015. The carmaker might introduce a new hybrid model to rival the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid. The revised model will anyway be abreast with the changes the company has made to the upcoming MLC as well. Both these vehicles are expected to be launched next year.
