Mercedes-Benz India has introduced two cars for the Indian market – the S500 Coupe and the S63 AMG Coupe. The S500 Coupe has been priced at Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), whereas the S63 AMG Coupe could be yours for Rs 2.6 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new S63 AMG Coupe gets a revised fascia and many more changes that help one to distinguish it from the S-Class. The car gets an aggressive front profile that boasts of the AMG-specific grille and a front splitter. It also comes with side skirting, a rear diffuser and chrome accentuated twin exhaust pipes on the rear bumper. The S500 Coupe is basically a two-door version of the S500 but looks so much better than the four-door.
Mechanically, the S500 Coupe is the same. It gets the 4.7-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that churns out 453bhp at 5,250rpm and 700Nm at 1,800rpm. The S63 AMG Coupe, on the other hand, is powered by a 5.5-litre bi turbo V8 engine that produces 585bhp at 5,500rpm and maximum torque of 900Nm between 2,250-3,750rpm
Mercedes-Benz India will sell both the cars as a complete-built-up (CBU) unit through their dealerships.
