Mercedes-Benz has introduced the C350e plug-in hybrid in Malaysi a. It will be locally assembled and priced at RM289,888 (Rs 46.54 lakh) for the Avantgarde, RM294,888 (Rs 47.34 lakh) for the Avantgarde (with AMG Line interior), and RM299,888 (Rs 48.15 lakh) for the AMG Line variant.
Powering this Merc is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that’s capable of making a total of 279bhp and 600Nm while a 7G-Tronic plus ‘box takes care of transmission duties. A 6.38 kWh lithium-ion battery is located at the rear of the car and is the reason why the boot space shrank from 475 litres to 335 litres. It can be recharged in about two hours through a domestic 230 volt power point. MB claims that the C350e can despatch the 0-100kmph sprint in 5.9sec, and has an all-electric range of 31km along with a top speed of 130kmph in this mode.
Expect features like an air suspension, three-zone climate control with a climate pre-conditioning system (regulates temperature before journey), panorama sunroof, COMAND with an 8.4-inch display, 360-degree surround view camera, and an AMG exterior kit to adorn the C350e.
