Mercedes-Benz India has introduced new apps to most of its range. These cloud-based applications were first launched with the new E-Class Cabriolet and the CLS 250CDI.
The German manufacturer is offering these new apps in the S-Class, ML-Class, GL-Class and all the other AMG models. These set of apps consist of radio, weather forecast, news, RSS newsfeeds and HRS hotel search. It can be accessed via internet data connectivity through a Bluetooth-tethered smartphone including Apple iPhone, BlackBerry and Android or Windows-based smartphones. In order to use these apps, the cars need to be equipped with the Comand Online system. The company plans to add these features to more models in future.
“We at Mercedes Benz have always strived to bring the best in modern luxury and latest technology for our customers. The introduction of the Mercedes-Benz Apps is yet another initiative towards this direction. We are confident that the Mercedes-Benz Apps will delight our customers and will not only be a standard offering for our new cars, but also for all our existing customers who have COMAND Online system in their cars. This reiterates our commitment of offering the best ownership experience for our customers,” said Eberhard Kern, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
