Mercedes-Benz today announced the name of its new urban delivery van as the Citan. The name Citan is the acroynm of the words City and Titan emphasising the vehicle's capabilities as a specialist in city logistics for tumbling of everyday work.
It meets the requirements of customers across the service industry, retail sector and a broad spectrum of trades: a generous load compartment with compact dimensions. The urban delivery van was developed and tested to the same standards as its larger Sprinter and Vito siblings and is in no way inferior to these. The Citan is expected to be launched by autumn 2012 in Europe and will be showcased at the IAA Hanover in September.
